SUSE plans to reduce its global workforce by 10%, according to an internal memo sent to employees by CEO Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen. The memo cited changes in the industry driven by AI and automation as the reason for the cuts.

Employees affected by the reduction are due to be notified starting November 4. The move follows voluntary separation offers issued in September, which did not receive enough uptake to meet management’s expectations.
