Amazon is offering Ring’s newest Floodlight Cam 2K for $99.99, down 50% from its original $199.99 price. The deal matches the camera’s lowest recorded price.

The outdoor camera records in 2K resolution, an upgrade over the previous model’s 1080p video. It also includes two motion-activated floodlights that provide up to 2,000 lumens of illumination. The lights cover areas such as lawns and driveways and help the camera capture color footage, making details including faces, clothing and license plates easier to see.

Ring’s camera includes 6x Enhanced Zoom, motion alerts and live viewing through the Ring app. Users can also activate its siren remotely or communicate with people through Two-Way Talk.

The Floodlight Cam 2K requires a hardwired installation, which can be more involved than installing a battery-powered model. Its 2K footage is also less detailed than video from more expensive 4K cameras. Since the camera relies on a home Wi-Fi connection, live viewing and recordings may be delayed or choppy when the installation area has a weak signal.
