LXQt 2.5 Drops Its Final LXDE Dependency and Updates QTerminal

LXQt 2.5 is now available, targeting Qt 6.10 and later. The release also removes the desktop environment’s final dependency on LXDE: menu-cache has been replaced by an LXQt component, leaving no LXDE dependencies in the project.

QTerminal and QTermWidget receive several of the update’s changes. They now support background image modes, a visual bell, silence notifications and selection by Shift-click, alongside other improvements and bug fixes.

PCManFM-Qt adds incremental listing of search results. The feature is disabled by default, but when enabled it lets users stop a search once the results they need appear.
