Anush Elangovan, AMD’s vice president of AI Software, has recently praised Omarchy on X. Elangovan has led work on ROCm in recent years following AMD’s acquisition of his company, Nod.ai. He is also reported to hold Omarchy’s fastest installation time using AMD hardware.
At the Fireworks Forge event, Elangovan met Omarchy lead David Heinemeier Hansson and gave him an HP ZBook laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Max 495+ “Gorgon Halo” processor. Elangovan wrote on X: “AMD ❤️ Omarchy. Great things are ahead.”
The comments and meeting point to possible collaboration between AMD and the Linux distribution, though no specific plans were announced.
